Enlightenment:
Is there such a thing as enlightenment?
Response from Mark Givert
Enlightenment:
Is there such a thing as enlightenment?
Is there such a thing as enlightenment?
Liberation/Enlightenment has been
defined in an Ancient Text:
''Enlightenment is the total abandonment of all mental
conditioning without the least reserve''.
Yoga Vasistha
An Enlightened One was once invited by a group of Doctors to explain enlightenment/realisation
He sat silently for the duration of the talk.
The doctors were mystified and a little angry.
However the Master later explained that such things are beyond the realms of the mind and thought.
The enlightened ones make it clear that the purpose of the journey of life is indeed to attain enlightenment. It is most helpful to realise that such things are beyond the mind.
Anyone can become enlightened and indeed this is the birthright of every human being. The Yogis say that this requires 1 Million years of Solar evolution.
So actually Enlightenment is merely a natural evolutionary process being undertaken by every human being whether we know it or not. So in truth you are always on the path, your own special journey, that is all.
Enlightened ones join us in this world to remind us of this, and help us from straying too far off the beaten track.
Now what is interesting is that the yogi's have developed ways of speeding up this evolutionary process.
Some of the greatest yogi's and enlightened ones were in fact Criminals and Murderers would you believe.
So there is hope for us all.
The Truth is out there, or within, as you like?
So YES there is such a thing as Enlightenment
and this is in fact the Goal of Life.
